Firm Advises Insight Venture Partners in Investment in AirWatch

Insight leads $200 million investment in mobile device management company AirWatch.

On February 24, it was announced that AirWatch®, the global leader and innovator in mobile device security and Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) technology, closed on a $200 million investment led by Willkie client Insight Venture Partners. The equity infusion will be used to fund strategic acquisitions, accelerate global growth and drive innovation and adoption of AirWatch's content collaboration solution, Secure Content Locker™. With 6,000 customers and 1,200 global associates, AirWatch has the largest customer base and the largest research and development team in the industry. Founded in 1995, Insight Venture Partners is a leading venture capital and private equity firm investing in eCommerce, Internet, on-premise and SaaS-based software and data-services companies. Insight has raised more than $5 billion and made more than 150 investments worldwide.  The deal was handled by partners Gordon Caplan and Matthew Guercio and associates John DeSisto and David Marley.
