Paris Office Advises Swissport Group in Sale of its French Ground Handling Operations

Swissport Group, the world’s leading provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry, announces sale of its ground handling activities in France to GH Team. 

Willkie client Swissport Group, the world’s leading provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry, recently announced the sale of its ground handling activities in France to GH Team.

The sale concerns activities that have been carried out within Swissport France, Swissport Services CDG, Servisair France and Héraclès. This strategic transaction for Swissport considers the growing economic pressure imposed on ground handling activities, particularly in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Swissport Group is an entity of European private equity firm PAI partners. Willkie advised PAI on certain aspects of the acquisition of Swissport Group in 2011 and has also advised Swissport Group on the build-up acquisition of Servisair from Derichebourg in 2013.

The current deal was handled by partners Christophe Garaud and Annette Péron, special European counsel Brice Pommiès and Philippe Grudé and associate Karim Chahine.
