Show Me the Money: Deal Security in Energy Private Equity

Houston-based corporate partner Archie Fallon, Co-Chair of the Firm's Power & Renewable Energy; Environmental, Social & Governance; and Project Finance practice groups, along with Houston-based corporate associate Christian Truman, authored an article in Preqin’s 2022 Service Providers Report. Their article, titled “Show Me the Money: Deal Security in Energy Private Equity,” reports that private equity buyouts in the energy industry are getting larger. They explain that, as competition among buyers heats up, sellers are frequently turning to deposit features to de-risk energy asset-focused dispositions.

Additionally, the report includes Willkie among the most prominent law firms involved in private equity-backed buyout deals, venture capital deals, and infrastructure deals over the past several years.
